The Mehrbach Valley is full of stories. The themed circular route takes me through Mehren with its numerous half-timbered buildings. Later, the Mehrbach accompanies me on a very idyllic, shady path. Does the White Lady still haunt here by the water? And what about Boller Mosch, who strikes the trees with a club and calls "Mosch, Mosch"? The vanished castle of Mehren can also tell an exciting legend. On this circular route, I mostly walk on wide forest paths, overcoming some elevation at the beginning of the walk, which I later descend towards Mehren. In the town center, I come across the impressive pillar basilica from the 12th century, one of the oldest of its kind in the Westerwald. Finally, I also take a look into the old prison from 1547, called Bulles‘Je, below the old school.
