Experience Shaft Tower
Open tour of the white preparation/shaft tower shaft 2
From April to October, we are open every 3rd Saturday of the month from 2:30 PM to 5:00 PM.
At 2:30 PM we offer a guided tour.
Please plan approximately 90 minutes for your visit with us.
We start our tours with a presentation about the Siegerland ore mining, focusing on the Willroth mining tradition. Afterwards, you can visit our small museum with mining artifacts and, accompanied by our tour guides, climb the shaft tower. From the highest point, you have not only a dreamlike view over the Raiffeisen region, but on clear days and with a bit of luck, you can also see the Cologne Cathedral.

Participation in the tour and climbing the shaft tower is at your own risk. We would like to point out that teenagers under 14 years old are only allowed up to the hanging platform (half-height) for safety reasons, and not on the external stairs of the shaft tower. Furthermore, the provisions of the visitor regulations apply.
