Notice
In the tour planner we inform you under the tab "Current info" about temporary route changes, closures and detours.
At the start of the hike, take in the view from the wooden lookout tower and enjoy the magnificent panorama. Until Marienthal, we walk exclusively on quality trails. The WesterwaldSteig leads us to the "Miracle of Marienthal". In the pilgrimage site, a visit to the former Franciscan monastery is worthwhile. The monastery village of Marienthal also offers many places to stop for refreshments. Refreshed, the climbing wall at the Thalhausermühle forest swimming pool is best conquered. The effort is worth it because the view from the 7-meter-high climbing wall is fantastic. It gets historical in Hamm (Sieg). First at the listed Jewish cemetery, then in the town centre, where all important Raiffeisen sites can be visited. The hike ends at the Raiffeisen Museum. From here, the bus stop at the Kulturhaus Hamm (Sieg) can be reached on foot in three minutes, making it easy to return to the Raiffeisen Tower.

Free parking available both at the Raiffeisen Tower and at the German Raiffeisen Museum or at the Kulturhaus Hamm (Sieg), 20 m away.
We start at the Raiffeisen Tower on the Beulskopf. Here you have the opportunity to climb the wooden structure. From just under 420 m above sea level, you have a magnificent view of our Raiffeisenland and far beyond.
The hike now leads us towards Hilgenroth, which is situated on a sunny plateau. Mostly along the WesterwaldSteig, with new views over treeless areas.
Narrow paths now take us on before we reach the pilgrimage site Marienthal. Past the Obersalterberger Hof, we take a break at the adit mouth of the "Kupferner Kessel" mine.
With the Raiffeisen community Hamm (Sieg) already in sight, we walk past the Thalhausermühle forest swimming pool and take time to pause at the Jewish cemetery.
The hike ends at the German Raiffeisen Museum. Then visit the museum and experience Raiffeisen in his birthplace!
