WIEDer ins TAL

Description

The cycling day WIEDer ins TAL will take place on Sunday, May 17, 2026, from 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM.

The state roads L255 and L269 in Wiedtal are open to cyclists, inline skaters, and pedestrians only for 50 km from Niederbieber to Seifen in the Westerwald.

The cycling day takes place in the districts of Neuwied and Altenkirchen. The organizers are the municipalities of Rengsdorf-Waldbreitbach, Asbach, Altenkirchen-Flammersfeld, and Puderbach. They are supported by the districts of Neuwied and Altenkirchen, as well as by the savings banks Neuwied and Westerwald-Sieg, the VR Bank RheinAhrEifel, and the Raiffeisenbank Neustadt. The police, emergency services, and fire department are on duty to ensure a safe course of the event. The Regio lines 125 and 130 will not operate on that day.

At numerous locations along the route, associations and restaurateurs will set up stands with beverages, grill snacks, or coffee and cake or open their beer gardens. Children's entertainment, live music, or raffles will provide variety. Service stations with assistance for minor repairs and sale of accessories will be available.

The Wied cycle path is now very well developed and signposted and can be used individually at any time.
