WIEDer ins TAL

Description

The cycling day WIEDer ins TAL takes place on Sunday, May 17, 2026, from 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM.

The state roads L255 and L269 in the Wiedtal are open for cyclists, inline skaters, and pedestrians only over 36 km from Niederbreitbach to Seifen in the Westerwald.

The cycling day takes place in the districts of Neuwied and Altenkirchen. The organizers are the municipalities Rengsdorf-Waldbreitbach, Asbach, Altenkirchen-Flammersfeld, and Puderbach. They are supported by the districts of Neuwied and Altenkirchen as well as the savings banks Neuwied and Westerwald-Sieg, the VR Bank RheinAhrEifel, and the Raiffeisenbank Neustadt. Police, emergency services, and fire department are on duty to ensure a safe course of the event. The Regio lines 125 and 130 will not operate on this day.

Numerous clubs and restaurateurs will set up stalls along the route offering drinks, barbecue snacks, or coffee and cakes, or they will open their beer gardens. Entertainment for children, live music, and raffles will provide variety. Service stations for minor repairs, including breakdown assistance and spare parts sales, can be found along the route.
